Lessons cancellations and make-up arrangements must be communicated through your My Music Staff Portal and/or directly with your teacher (whatsapp or text message).

LATENESS
No lesson time will be made up if a student is late for a lesson.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
Cambridge Piano School has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying, harassment, or disrespect of any facilities, equipment, teacher and staff. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. This applies to all students as well as parents/guardians. When action may be required, a warning will be given addressing specific behaviour(s). Should the student continue the behaviour(s) after the warning, the student will be dismissed from lessons, and will not be allowed to return, forfeiting their lessons and no refunds will be issued. Parents/guardians are also expected to uphold these policies, and failure to comply will result in your child forfeiting their lessons and fees. There will be no exceptions.

STUDENTS-PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to facilitate enjoyable lessons and progress, all students should follow these three-commitments:
1. Regular practice. Progress does not happen in one weekly 30 minute lesson – work and practice outside of lessons are necessary for growth.
2. Be prepared for the lesson with all necessary materials. Teachers are not required to provide materials if a student shows up without them.

3. TVs, cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices must be silenced during lessons.
4. Commitment to having fun and making music!

HOLIDAYS
There are no lessons on statutory holidays, the week of March Break or the two weeks of Christmas Break. You are not charged for lessons that fall on any statutory holiday – no make-up lesson required. Please see your My Music Staff Calendar for reference.

WEATHER/ TRAFFIC CANCELLATIONS
In the event of a lesson cancellation due to inclement weather or traffic at the discretion of Cambridge Piano School lessons will be made up if cancelled by Cambridge Piano School. You will be notified by text from your teacher directly.

SNOW DAY/STUDIO CLOSURE

On occasions where it is deemed unsafe to hold lessons (as determined by Cambridge Piano School), students will be contacted by email and all missed classes will be rescheduled. As this is highly inconvenient, such action is only taken on the most severe of weather (some snow or heavy rain will rarely cause lessons cancellations).
